This position is ideal for a candidate who can drive financial performance, ensure actuarial soundness, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management while supporting business growth in a dynamic regulatory environment

Description
- Provide strategic leadership across finance, actuarial, risk, capital, and investment functions while supporting the Country GM and Board
- Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure strong governance and business alignment
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and maintain robust internal controls and financial transparency
- Oversee financial performance, capital management, tax planning, and external reporting to support decision-making and growth
- Act as Appointed/Chief Actuary, managing product pricing, valuation, reserving, and reinsurance strategies
- Ensure actuarial soundness, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting to regulators and senior management
- Provide advisory support on business development including M&A, new products, and distribution strategies
- Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and finance transformation initiatives
- Promote a strong risk management culture and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
- Lead and develop high-performing teams while collaborating with regional and global stakeholders and contributing to strategic direction
Requirements
- Qualified actuary or professional accountant (e.g., FIA, FSA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards including IFRS and local GAAP
- Extensive experience in the life insurance industry with deep functional knowledge
- 10 to 15+ years of finance and actuarial experience, preferably with CFO or senior leadership exposure
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Experience working within senior executive management teams
- Strong strategic thinking with a collaborative leadership approach
- Ability to balance short-term performance with long-term business growth
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in English is required
