Accounting & Finance Manager at a Well-known International Financial Services Company in Yangon

• Responsible overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with IFRS, CBM regulations, and internal policies

The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting and Finance professional who will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and month-end / year-end closing processes while ensuring strong financial controls and accurate reporting

Description

• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger balances
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
• Monitor cash flow, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts
• Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare financial reports required by Head Office, regulators, and Senior Management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, IFRS, and banking regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to independently manage accounting and finance functions
• Good English communication and report-writing skills
• ACCA, CPA, or other professional accounting qualification is preferred
