QS Manager at a Well-known International Design Firm in Yangon, Myanmar

The Role
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced project leader to drive the successful delivery of multiple high-end commercial and interior fit-out projects. This role is ideal for a proactive and organized professional with strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder coordination experience

The Role
- Lead and manage all cost estimation, bill of quantities preparation, and financial forecasting for multiple projects
- Establish and maintain vendor qualification, bid management, and contract management systems
- Oversee vendor negotiations, contract preparation, and dispute resolution
- Support finance with project cash flow forecasts and monitor project budgets to avoid overruns
- Evaluate bids and proposals to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with specifications
- Collaborate with project management and business development teams during client consultations and negotiations
- Manage procurement functions, including sourcing and assessing subcontractors locally and internationally
- Validate and certify completed works for subcontractor payments and milestone achievements
- Provide advice on contractual claims, variations, and final account settlements
- Prepare and maintain departmental records, reports, and project documentation
- Mentor and motivate the QS team to achieve high standards of productivity and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of experience in QS roles, with proven leadership and management skills
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement management
- Familiarity with international construction standards and project management practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and QS-related software
