Senior Quality Supervisor at a Global FMCG Company in Yangon

The Role

This role is responsible for ensuring robust quality systems, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing quality standards across production operations The Senior Quality Supervisor will act as the key connection between the quality function and factory operations, ensuring global quality requirements are effectively implemented while driving continuous improvement across laboratory, production, and packaging processes

Description

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across manufacturing operations
  • Partner with production teams to implement and maintain effective quality systems on the factory floor
  • Translate global quality procedures into local processes and ensure consistent execution
  • Support new product introductions, technical transfers, and manufacturing trials from a quality perspective
  • Develop and maintain quality inspection plans for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, and finished products
  • Oversee laboratory operations, including equipment calibration, maintenance, qualification, and validation activities
  • Lead equipment validation processes including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and performance validation reports
  • Monitor quality data, statistical process control (SPC), and process capability to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support investigations related to customer complaints, consumer feedback, supplier quality issues, and manufacturing non-conformities
  • Establish effective sampling, testing, and retention programs to ensure product quality compliance
  • Manage laboratory resources and operational costs while improving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure laboratory safety, chemical handling procedures, and environmental compliance are maintained
  • Conduct internal quality audits, support quality training programs, and promote a strong quality culture
  • Lead and develop quality teams across analytical laboratory, online quality, and packaging quality functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of quality or laboratory experience within pharmaceutical, cosmetics, FMCG, or consumer products manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of GMP, QA/QC systems, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with laboratory equipment, troubleshooting, qualification, and validation processes
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, SPC, and process improvement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of quality investigations, CAPA, and non-conformance management
  • Experience supervising teams and managing quality operations
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong computer skills and ability to prepare quality reports and documentation
  • Good teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
