• Lead operational purchasing, supplier management, inventory availability, and procurement performance across raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and indirect materials
• Up to 4,000,000 MMK + Other Allowances 

The Role

Thrilling role for an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the local purchasing function and ensure the timely availability of materials while delivering strong commercial value and supply continuity. The role will work closely with Group Purchasing, suppliers, internal departments, and local management to ensure procurement activities align with agreed pricing, allocations, policies, and business requirements

Description

• Lead and develop the local purchasing team, building capability and ensuring the function is equipped to meet current and future business requirements
• Oversee purchasing activities for raw materials, FG, and packaging material to maintain appropriate availability and support customer service requirements
• Coordinate with Group Purchasing category managers to ensure orders are placed according to agreed pricing, allocations, and purchasing agreements
• Monitor raw orders closely and proactively communicate supply issues, shortages, non-conformances, and other potential disruptions
• Work cross-functionally to ensure effective planning and execution of material purchasing requirements
• Support negotiations and supplier price agreements where purchasing authority has been delegated by the Group Purchasing team
• Assess logistics and supply options by considering packaging formats, order quantities, distributors, transportation requirements, customs regulations, and local legislation
• Work with Group Purchasing to identify potential local suppliers and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers
• Participate in supplier meetings, audits, and performance discussions when required
• Manage indirect ,materials purchasing in partnership with Group Purchasing and internal user departments, ensuring value for money and appropriate risk management
• Delegate suitable low-value indirect purchases to user departments while maintaining proper purchasing controls and processes
• Monitor procurement-related KPIs, including material pricing and local purchasing performance, and provide regular updates to local management and Group Purchasing
• Ensure purchasing parameters and systems are maintained in line with operational purchasing principles
• Manage stakeholder expectations and address significant purchasing or supply-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Oversee supplier invoice control and ensure invoices are processed in accordance with company requirements
• Ensure customs procedures and relevant local regulations are properly followed and that supplier payments are completed within agreed payment terms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any related field
• Min 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or multinational environment
• Strong understanding of operational purchasing and material availability management
• Strong supplier management and commercial negotiation skills
• Good understanding of logistics, transportation, customs procedures, and local purchasing requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to monitor purchasing performance and identify supply risks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with regional and local teams
